Alicia grew up in the Norfolk countryside and made the move to Coventry to study Media Production in 2016. Her creativity is rooted to her drawing skills, often winning many county art and poster competitions as a child. This broadened into creating stories through film which only grew in passion at University. In her Erasmus year she studied French cinema in Lyon and now aspires to be a cinematographer and director working all around the world. She is experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustration and Photoshop as well as owning her own Instagram art page specialising in portraiture and animation design.
The aim of my filmmaking is for viewers to see the world from an arty perspective. This may be looking at the philosophy of alternate realities (an idea that I explored in my short film Heads or Tails?) or executing films with an artistic style. My filmmaking, unsurprisingly, marries up with my drawing technique: colourful, confident and loose. I like to include nostalgic moods such as home video filters that can resonate childhood with the viewers.

I am a firm believer of competent art demonstrating more skill than abstract interpretations. Films can be quirky and original, but also have to bare a purpose and achievement, using cinematic devices to tell a story in innovative ways. I, for example, enjoy using lighting and colour in a scene to tell the story more emotionally than dialogue. Montages and music videos are therefore amongst my favourite to produce.
